This is a program providing support for research project on the topics concerning American art and visual culture prior to 1980. This program also to enable scholars outside of US to consult research and visit collection within the US. Please find out more about this program here;

Number of funded: up to 20
Funding:
- Up to $6,000 per grant for doctoral students from Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand;
- Up to $7,000 per grant for doctoral students from Asia, Africa, and Latin America;
- Up to $9,000 per grant for all postdoctoral and senior scholars.
Eligible:
- Is a Doctoral students, Postdoctoral and Senior scholar from outside of the US
- Be able to travel during the fellowship (the calendar is a year)
- Be able to work under time pressure
- Demonstrate great potential in doing research
