The University of Aberdeen is inviting applications for James Carnegie Scholarship for international students to study in the UK. This scholarship is open to applicants holding an offer of admission for any campus-based one year, full-time postgraduate degree programme starting in September 2018.

The University of Aberdeen is a public research university in Aberdeen, Scotland. It is an ancient university founded in 1495 when William Elphinstone, Bishop of Aberdeen, petitioned Pope Alexander VI on behalf of James IV, King of Scots to establish King’s College, making it Scotland’s third-oldest university and the fifth-oldest in the English-speaking world.

If English is not your first language then you will need to show that your English language skills are at a high enough level to succeed in your studies.

Scholarship Description:

  • Applications Deadline: July 13, 2018
  • Course Level: Scholarship is available to study full-time postgraduate degree programme.
  • Study Subject: Scholarship is awarded in one of the following Schools: School of Divinity, History & Philosophy; Education; Language, Literature, Music & Visual Culture; or Law.
  • Scholarship Award: The scholarship will provide £2,000 per annum towards the students’ maintenance costs for the duration of the postgraduate degree course, whether that is a one year Masters, PhD (3 years) or Master by Research leading to a PhD (4 years).
  • Nationality: Available to students of all nationalities.
  • Number of Scholarships: There is one James Carnegie Scholarship available.
  • Scholarship can be taken in the UK

Applicants must be classified by the University as Home/EU, RUK or Overseas for tuition fee purposes.
