Details
The initial establishment of Yazd University (YU) dates back to 1976. The university has been improving overtime to the point that at present about 14000 students are educating at this university. YU has three faculties and two schools with 27 departments. Now the university runs different fields of study including 62 Bachelor, 108 Master and 48 PhD disciplines within 46 academic programs. It has currently about 400 faculty members, 400 employees and 14000 students, which makes YU as one of the significant comprehensive universities throughout Iran.

Requirements for Admission to Yazd University:(For International Students)
(You are considered as an international student, if you are a non-Iranian having a foreign passport)
- Applying for a Bachelor´s Degree:
Holding a secondary high school certificate or diploma with a minimum GPA of 14 out of 20 (2.8 out of 4.0).
- Applying for a Master´s Degree:
Holding a B.A or B.Sc degree from an accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 14 out of 20 (2.8 out of 4.0).
- Applying for a Ph.D Degree:
Holding an M.A or M.Sc degree from an accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 14 out of 20 (2.8 out of 4.0).
Please note that the medium of Instruction for all courses is Persian so that all students should have a good command of Persian Language for studying in the Yazd University. Otherwise they should attend some Persian Language classes for 3 months at least.
Cost/funding for participants:
Fully FundedPartially Funded
This scholarship covers tuition fees and the cost of the dormitory of the students. The accepted students can use other facilities of Yazd university (like food, sports facilities, …) in subsidized rate.
