One Young World and AstraZeneca – offers the Young Health Programme (YHP) for One Young World Summit 2022 participation in Tokyo, Japan.

Background Information:

AstraZeneca offers the Young Health Programme (YHP),  to involve and empower young individuals to make healthy choices today that will result in having a better healthy life in the future. Youth are at the center of YHP’s activities delivering the young people a voice and opportunity to determine their health needs as well as planning and offering solutions.

This year, AstraZeneca, in collaboration with One Young World, plans to offer 21 scholarships to impactful young leaders to attend OYW Summit in Japan. Additionally, the YHP scholars will have to attend a pre-Summit skills-building workshop to meet the delegation, exchange experiences, and share information on their backgrounds.

Scholarship Benefits _ what does it provide?

  • Access to One Young World Summit 2022 in Tokyo, Japan.
  • Attendance in an exquisite YHP pre-Summit workshop.
  • Hotel accommodation on a shared basis during the summit.
  • Return air or rail travel expenses for participants living outside of Germany.
  • Gatherings include (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).
  • Ground transportation for attending the summit from the living/residence spot.
  • Special funds covering reasonable out-of-the-pocket expenses of scholars with getting to and from the summit (can be claimed after the summit).
  • Repayment of Schengen visa application fee (if applicable).
  • Reimbursement of reasonable out-of-the-pocket expenses related to traveling to and from the Summit.

Note: the scholars will need to pay the visa application and insurance fees themselves knowing that they will be able to apply for a reimbursement from OYW receiving back their expenses.

Eligibility

Applicants with the following conditions are eligible:

  • Aged between 18-30 years.
  • Proven commitment in addressing health and wellbeing difficulties in a local, national and global community with a special emphasis on child and adults health conditions/problems.
  • Leadership potential in championing and convincing stakeholders around their goal.
  • Entrepreneurial and value-driven Innovation and problem-solving capability.
  • Working experience towards a joint goal, teamwork, and collaboration.
