DHU has been approved to admit international students who have received a Shanghai Government Scholarship since 2006. Every year, DHU accepts about 40 Shanghai Government Scholarship students from all over the world to study undergraduate (bachelor’s) or postgraduate (master’s or doctorate) degrees.

DHU is a member of China’s Project 211 group of national universities and one of China’s state-key universities, reporting directly to the Ministry of Education. Eligibility:
· Non-Chinese citizens are eligible to apply.
· Applicants must be in good health.
· Applicants for Bachelors degree programs must have a high school diploma or an intermediate/college diploma and be between the ages of 18 and 30.
Applicants for MS/degree Master’s programs must hold a bachelor’s degree and be under 35 years old.
· Applicants for Ph.D./Doctoral degree programs must have a master’s degree and be under 40 years old.
· Be able to communicate proficiently in the language of instruction (English or Chinese)
